Instructions for ICLAP 2018 Participants
□ Please carry your CNIC all 3 days with you as you will be required to show it at the Entrance to the University under the prevailing stricter campus security measures across all HEIs. On a precautionary note, keep Copies of CNIC in case it is needed.
□ You will enter the university from Gate 4 (opposite Amanat Eye Hospital).
□ Please reach the conference venue and Registration Desk at 8:00 am on Day 1 to ''Sign In'' and to receive your conference material.
□ Car parking is outside the University gate (right beside the gate)
□ Venue for conference sessions is New Auditorium and Department of Education (New Education Building).
□ There will be an Information Desk at the University gate to guide you to the conference sessions venue
□ The Registration Desk and the Facilitation Desk will be just outside the Department of Education (New Education Building)
□ Poster presetnters are advised to submit their posters at the Registration Desk on the second day so that they could later be fixed at proper place for your convenience.
□ Other presenters are suggested to carry their presetnations in their own USBs. Identify your Session Facilitator on the day of your presentation and copy your presentation in their laptop system. Session facilitators will run all paper presentations on the designated systems to save time and to avoid setting issues. All presenters must have a back-up of their presentation in another USB and preferably in their mailbox, in case of USB/System failure.
□ ICLAP participants are requested to please remain punctual and follow precisely the timelines on all three days of the conference. The schedule available in the programme book provides everybody clarity as to the programme flow and the start and finishing time for each individual and session or activity.
□ The PAICOR/corpus and PakLex workshops will be held in the BCA lab.
□ The sessions which have been anounced to be held in Room#8, would now be conducted in MP Hall partition.
□ During Question Answer Sessions, participants should follow the decorum and standard norms of an academic forum. Ask well-focused, relevant, and clear questions based on the idea being presented. Avoid making comments or indulging in debate or argumentation that may lead to an awful waste of an opportunity to learn from others or to become aware of other perspectives on the topics of your interest.
□ Please carry your belongings with you as you move between different venues for plenary sessions, paper sessions, workshops and tea/lunch areas. The conference organizers will not bear any responsibility to find or replace personal or conference materials of the participants.
□ Bring a light shawl/ light jersey as evenings can be a bit chilly
□ For the City Tour on third day we recommend walking shoes.
□ Those going will themselves purchase their own tickets at the museum and also entry tickets to the monument (They are not very costly) and would themselves pay for their dinner at the Said-Pur village, the end desitnation.
